1. (transitive) To return something which has been crumpled, closer to its original state.

- I took the wadded up letter from the trash and carefully uncrumpled it.

2. (intransitive) Having been crumpled, to return closer to one's original state.

- As the newspaper uncrumpled, the picture on the frontpage become recognizable.
